Final Stand
Tossing your belongings on the floor at the foot of the bed, you crawl up and into bed. After a few minutes, you decide it is hot and you sleepily swing your legs out and slip off your green socks, letting them fall to the floor.
Drifting to sleep, you dream of the time before the plague, when everything around you seemed so alive.
A small scratching noise draws you to the edge of conciousness. Rolling face down in the bed, you try and cast your mind into sleepfulness again, but the scraching persists.
