The Black Citadel

The trail is very narrow and the forest here is very dense, almost no light is filtered down through the canopy of the trees. Although it's the middle of the day now, it feels like just after dusk. You walk for some time when the smell of smoke suddenly hits your senses. It smells like meat, but the smell is repugnant. The trail you're on continues straight ahead, so you have no choice but to follow it. Soon you arrive at a small clearing in the forest. Two orcs are sitting around a fire ripping large chunks of meat from bones with their canine teeth. You only have seconds before they notice you standing there. How should you surprise them?
