A New Home in the Country
You search around the small room for a flashlight. You don't see one anywhere but luckily, you do manage to find a blue lighter lying on the ground. A little strange but you pretend not to notice how awkward your situation is right now.
Not hesitating anymore you start to make your way down the dark stairs, using your small flame as a guide to make sure you don't trip.
Once you're about halfway down the staircase you hear something that makes you stop. As you listen, you can faintly hear voices at the bottom of the stairs. Do you dare step down closer to try and find out what's going on? Or is this your cue to mind your own business and get out.
