Everything Went Dark
What was the point in lying? Jennan shook her head. At first, no one blamed Jennan, simply because with the amount of dangers here, it couldn't have been her fault. But then Addie asked what happened. And then Jennan was instantly blamed. "You ate the note?! Why would you do that?" Jordan sputtered, her face getting red. She continued to rant angrily. She was really pissed because the amount of hope she had for that note to get out was extreme. Addie threw a pencil at Jennan,"You wanna eat this too?!" Jack sat silently on his cot, not wanting to get involved because he could get yelled at.
Addie and Jordan had so much hope for this note getting out to the remaining New Romans and getting freed. They were super pissed. So pissed that they got violent. Punching, slapping, throwing things, shouting. Jack had gone to the bathroom and stayed there. He kept the door locked. He was smart to not get involved. Jack was actually kinda tired and ended up falling asleep, so he didn't know when or how the girl's altercation ended. So when he heard guards pounding on the door and shouting for him to get out of the bathroom, he was pretty startled. Turns out, Jennan had been beaten to death. And Jordan and Addie convinced the guards that it was Jack who killed her, not them. Such great, trustworthy friends they are. Jack was escorted out of the room.
Two cots were removed that day. And everything was back to how it was before Jennan and Jack showed up. The only new thing was that there was a more uptight security. It didn't affect them too much, they still got time to stretch their legs. They lost track of days. How long had they even been in that room? Months? One day, a guard asked who wanted to leave the room first to exercise. Who volunteered to go?
