Everything Went Dark

Jennan climbed out of the car. There was nothing else of use in there. As she stepped on the street, she lost her footing and dropped Tatum's phone. It clattered on the ground. Jennan's eyes widened. She looked around and held her breath, scared a creature thing heard the phone fall. A minute or so passed and nothing was seen. Jennan let out a sigh of relief. And then Tatum's phone started ringing. The ringer must've clicked on when the phone fell on the ground. Jennan picked the phone up and fumbled a bit as she tried to shut the ringer off, but it was much too late.
