Elliana and Jordan exchanged panicked expressions before sprinting away. Neither cared about stepping on leaves anymore in that moment. The alien creature had already heard the first leaf crunch. It heard them and and leaped out of the tree, chasing them at a frighteningly fast speed. As they were running, Jordan tripped on a tree root.
