Everything Went Dark
Addie was driving, Evie was in the passenger seat, Jack and Jordan were in the middle seats, and Jennan, Emma, Elliana, and Tatum were in the back seats. There was a third spot in the middle seats, but Tatum convinced Elliana to sit on her lap and no one else took the other middle seat. I guess being squished in the back is a superior seating placement.
Anyways.
They had gotten stuck in traffic on their way to Mountain Grove. It was the summer after all, so tons of people would be wanting to go hangout at spots like Mountain Grove. There was actually another car full of teenagers in front of their car. They were nearly ten times louder though. They had all of their windows down and were screaming along to the blasting music. Addie didn't have any music playing because no one could decide on a song and starting arguing so instead there was no music playing for them.
Some screams echoed through the area. Loud crashes and glass shattering and police sirens followed the screams. Though, it wasn't too hearable over the car in front of them's music. Suddenly, a fast black blur shot out in front of them. It completely knocked over the car in front of them and flipped them over. It crashed into two other cars and ripped off the front half of Addie's car. And took Addie and Evie along with them. The others still in the ripped car could only watch in horror as some kind of black spider-looking demon impaled two of the teens in the tipped car through the glass window of the car.
Evie, like a few others in the tipped car, seemed to have been killed immediately. Addie, on the other hand, tried to fantically crawl away from the spider alien. Because of the screams and car alarms from others in traffic with them, two more of the spider freaks pounced into the area. People started leaving their cars and ran away. Some made it away from the cars and aliens...maybe. The remaining six couldn't see what happened to them after that.
Addie tried running back to them. But her phone began ringing; her mom was calling her. The loud ringtone alerted one of the aliens and jumped at Addie. One of its appendages crushed her phone and two other of its appendages tore her head right off. As unfortunate as that was for Addie, it was fortunate to the others because it made them realize that sound attracted the creatures. They had to be quiet if they were going to survive. They all silently unbuckled their seatbelts and (as quietly as they could) ran away from the cars. They ended up in someone's house that was nearby. It was clearly attacked because it looked like a party was going on. It looked like an explosive had gone off because of the damages, but it was the best place to go at the moment.
When they entered, Tatum and Emma ducked under the staircase, Elliana, Jennan, and Jordan ran into another room. Where should Jack take cover?
