The Events At Northwood City
You take a deep breath and exhale slowly. You might as well talk to her. It won't hurt if you just chat for a bit, even if she judges you with her stoic gaze. What was up with that earlier today? Maybe you can find out.
You hesitantly walk up to her front door and try to peek through the window. You can't see anyone there. The lights are off, too. Maybe she and her husband went to sleep.
You raise your right fist and knock three times. Nothing. You try again. Still nothing. You peek through the window again, and there's no movement. Maybe she left the house?
As you're walking away, your right sneaker clanks against something that sounds…metal. Curiously, you look down and see keys that are poking out under the welcome mat. Should you go inside?
