The Events At Northwood City
Despite your better judgement, you take the keys and stick them into the door handle. After turning them and pulling on the door, it opens, and you're met with silence.
"Hello?" Nothing. Maybe no one's home. You use your phone's flashlight to look around. Your steps echo through the room, but nothing happens. It's as if no one lives here.
A ghostly whispering beckons you. You ignore it, but more voices call. They swim inside your head until they're all you can think about. What are they saying? What's going on?
Without knowing what you're really doing, your feet move on their own towards the noises. Maybe there are people stuck in there? They stop when you reach a door, and your free hand turns the handle and opens the door, revealing stairs that lead down to a basement. The voices start up again, and they're speaking different languages. "Viens…a…saya…" What? What are they saying? You don't understand. Your feet are already heading down the steps, and you feel a sudden urge to close the door behind you, so you do. You hear someone's feet behind the door thud and then the door clicks so you check the handle. Just as you thought. It's locked. Panic swells up inside you and you bang on the door, screaming for someone to let you out. At that moment, your phone dies and you're surrounded in darkness.
