A Thing

"I... think I'm in a choose your own adventure," you say to the shark.
"Well what on Earth could you mean by that?"
"I'm not sure, the earliest memory I have is of me walking to go get some pizza, and then I went through a door in an alleyway and now I'm... here."
"Sounds like quite an adventure, eh? Don't really see a problem with that."
"Well, but you see I know I'm in a choose your own adventure 'cause I can only ever do, like, 5 things. Max."
"Oh I'm sure it's more than that," the shark frowns slightly before turning to quickly wink at the camera.
"No, seriously, and it's a really poorly written one too, with all kinds of different writing styles and everything. There's a wacky scene where I get on the floor of a restaurant and cause reality to break down, but there's also some stupid multiverse spanning plot about some weird almond guy. None of it makes any sense, it's like the authors were literally just writing any random thing that they though of down!"
"Now now, calm down there. I'm sure there's some reasoning behind it all."
