Mirror To The Past

After Chaz set out the clothes, he figured it was time for a change in how he perceived his life. No longer was he bound to the way things had always been done before. He wanted to experience life to the fullest, and thought of the future of his life as a new adventure, regardless of how costly it may become. While these clothes were expensive, and even though he spent more money on them than he felt would benefit his tight so-called "shoe-string" budget, these clothes to him represented that sometimes you have to pay high prices to find the newness of life. He took a shower and then he got dressed in the new clothes, an Adidas baseball style cap, a brand new black Adidas T-shirt with the white Adidas logo, a new pair of expensive faded jeans and a brand new pair of black and white Converse All Star sneakers. The missing matching item for this was a new black belt, that he had bought from the Wish app. For Chaz that word "wish" was what the black belt represented. While Chaz generally thought of himself as a logical thinker, he couldn't help himself from having an imaginative fantasy that some power beyond could possibly grant him something he had simply wished for every once in a while. Yet he knew that if such a power did exist, it would probably be too busy granting other people's wishes to even consider his own. He laughed as he thought to himself out loud "Yet, I wish otherwise.", and chuckled to himself about illogically wishing for the possibility to make wished to be real.

Caz finished tying his sneakers, realizing the absurdity of wishing for the ability to make wishes was the most illogical thing he had done so far. He looked back at the pile of laundry on the floor, and his eye readily caught the view of two other belts, besides the black one, one red and one blue, but neither of them technically matched this outfit.

The red belt was a signal of bright passion, and the blue belt was a symbol of serenity. He thought how interesting it might be if his brand new day was driven by a passionate spirit. Yet, curiously, he also wondered how it might be if his brand day was driven by the more peaceful, calm, and untroubled aspects of life. Since his mother had died in 2017, he had never really felt a sense of peace. It took him some to decide, but eventually he made his choice.
