High school stories

You reach the dormitories after an exhausting walk and many, many wrong turns. Mrs Sanders may have given you directions to the classrooms, but she didn't tell you how to get to the dormitories! Anyway, you walk up to a guy who was clearly a senior and was directing everyone else to their rooms.
"Hi, this is Alex...?" "Huh? Oh, yeah, Alex... come 'ere, your room is at the end of this corridor." The senior ushers you to the corridor and gets busy with assigning Emma to her room. You give her a little smile, before venturing into your own room. This is it!
