Strangely Forgotten
Your heart is aching. You feel the need to grasp onto something, so you grasp onto this. Your parents seem genuine enough.
"Oh, honey," your mom walks over steadily, grasping onto your hands, "I knew you'd remember us. Didn't I?" She looks at my father, waiting for an answer. He shrugs, skeptical. "Anyways, she turns back towards me, the doctor said we'd be able to bring you home in a few days. Would you like that?"
You shrug, "Sure," but you aren't sure. Of anything, really. You just don't know who else to trust.
"Well, doctor said only a few minutes with everyone, so we'll be back later." Your parents leave, your father giving you one last suspicious look before stepping outside.
