In the Dungeons of the Tickle Queen
You wander over to the center of the village to where a group of villagers and warrioresses alike are being addresed by the elders of the village. You come in on the tail end of the conversation.
"...prepared for if you are captured, you will suffer a fate far worse than death," one of the elders is saying. "You must take care to come back alive and unblemished."
There is a murmuring from the gathered group, then one of the younger girls pipes up. "What could be worse than death?" she asks of the elder.
The elder pauses for dramatic prose before continuing. "It is said," she begins, her voice barely more than a whisper, "that the tribe worships a dark demon of great power. We don't know much about the demon, but its talisman is a red feather. It is rumored that those who are not made slaves of the village are sacrificed to the demon, there to suffer an eternity of torment at its hands."
The young warrior girl gasps and the mood of the gathering darkens. You involuntarily shiver at the elder's words, then go to fetch your armor and weapons. The raid is about to begin.
