And All Things Will End

You speak of the pleasures of the flesh, of the earthly delights that you may taste. You detail the hedonistic pursuits, and the joy derived from them.

But it is not true joy, merely a simple rush of dopamine. A debased act to stave off the tedium and repetition of life. They are fleeting and unsustainable. There is a cost associated with them. There is no inherent purpose to these actions.

They do not last, and provide no lasting positivity. Nonexistence provides eternal peace. All pain, struggles, and responsibilities will fade away into nothingness. This will last forever. You will not have to worry about these delights, for you will no longer desire them. You shall want for nothing.

The Child rolls over. It does not desire these fleeting pleasures, and does not understand their purpose.
