And All Things Will End

You maneuver as close to the beast as you can, avoiding the flailing of Hunter's limbs. When a clear angle arises you strike, aiming your blade at the base of where the left arm sprouts from. You cleave through it with surprising ease, and your swing carries through to the next arm. The severed arms fall to the ground, flailing wildly. The beast retreats into the blackness of the cave. It did not scream or show any signs of pain. You ignore this, and check on Hunter.

The limbs are still swinging around.

The top of his skull has almost completely caved in, and portions of his brain are visible. Despite being that of a mage, it seems the same as any other brain. It is still relatively solid.

He can still speak.

"I can see it now...it was right...there is nothing beyond. the greatest peace of all lies before me. I wish you could see it." His voice trails off, then he looks at you. A glint of madness plays along his features.

"Perhaps I sha.." He starts, but is swiftly cut off by Aela. She leans in next to him, calmly removes one of her daggers from its scabbard, and slices his throat. It is as clean as slitting a throat could possibly be. Blood pools around him.

You stand up, becoming increasingly aware of the noises surrounding you. You take off down another shaft, Aela following close behind.

Eyes line the walls of the cave. Every time you put your hand on it you poke one out. Bloodless screams can be heard from all directions.
