Rose was flipping through the available channels on our holo, swinging her legs from the side of the sofa and looking positively like what Milicent looks like whenever she was well fed and sleepy. She didn't turn her entire head to me, just hummed mostly to her nose, continuing to flip. I was already starting to look through the data reports she left and even forgot what I asked, when she started murmuring in Huttese.

"I asked you something, Rose." I said, setting away the signed papers and clipping them together. This time I felt Rose look at me, basically feeling the gears turn in her head as she tried to remember what I asked her 3 kriffing minutes ago. When she finally remembered (after a good 5.78 seconds of me staring at her like she had forgotten an anniversary), she gasped and sat up quickly, untangling herself from her own limbs.

"I don't like him. I really don't. But you have to admit he is intelligent, he knows what he's doing." She starts, pulling her ponytail out and running her fingers through the ends of her straight hair. I set aside my pen and watched her as she spoke, as she gently licked her thin lips and searched for words in the air because she often spoke to me in dialects I didn't understand and had never even heard of. She got confused whenever she got excited, and would confuse me with some people she had never told me about, speaking about things I didn't understand. I often felt like she missed Parnassos and her old planet, with the ways she spoke about the nuclear planet with adoration in her eyes but disgrace and shame in her tone. "He knows how to work through every loophole. They say you shouldn't trust Corellians but I believe you should awlays watch your tone with Raller. You never know what you'll get in the end."

I continued signing, nodding along. She seemed to have woken up from her night laziness and was currently up and walking around, going to undoubtedly raid one of the cupboards for sugar. "I've never understood how he gets to win every Sabacc round. I mean, I'm a good player but I'm not a great one," she walks out of the kitchen and leans against the doorway, crossing her slender legs at the ankles as she stuffed her face with strawberry filled chocolate. My father hates strawberries, and the smell made me wince.

I wasn't paying attention, as the voice started whispering in my head again. I touched my forehead gently and sighed but didn't let it show, in case she noticed and started worrying. She was still talking through the chocolate munching, walking around the room and waving her hand. At some point, I started locking her out, making me feel my heartbeat basically thump in my head. It was far too late to pretend I'm okay as Rose was already looming over me when I started snapping back, hearing words in a slithery language I didn't understand.

Rose touched me. I snapped my head up but didn't see Rose. I saw someone else, and when I looked down at my hands, they weren't mine. I was pale, longer fingers than usual, in a different body. The man in front of me was Raller, smoking one of his highly addictive cigarettes and speaking in a hushed tone. He had a calming voice, tranquil and gentle, yet a rasp came with from years of smoking harsh spices.

"Parnassos tribes aren't gentle when it comes to love. You either love, or don't. But when they lose their love, they lose their morals. Their humanity." He let out a puff of blue tinted smoke, staring me straight in the eyes. His eyes were glinting rubies on a face covered in scars and small wrinkles. He held out his leather gloved hand, shaking from hiding cards in his sleeves, holding a necklace. It was a simple black thread necklace with a silver eye hanging on the end, twinkling in the dimly lit room. "I've seen tribes eat live hearts from their victims, in mourning of a romantic partner. It's not the worst they could do."

I reached for the necklace and took it from him. He smiled at me, and the vision was gone.

Rose was in front of me, shaking me on the shoulders. I started sleepily blinking and she let out a heavy sigh when she saw me awake, her breath smelling of sugary strawberry and a bit of it smeared on her upper lip. "You seemed to black out while awake. I got scared, I called a medical droid. Do you want me to call it off?"

I nodded, not feeling up to the idea of having to get a medicine check at this point, swallow the bacta diluted medicine and then report all this to my father who would get worried for no reason. I was probably just sick, and tired. "Call it off. I just need to lay down." I was staring straight at the silver eye when she straightened up.

Rose helped me on the couch close to the desk and settled down to sit with me, setting her hand on my forehead. "You do feel cold. Here, I'll cover you with Hux's coat until I get you a blanket." She slid me the holo remote and tucked the thick smelling coat over me, giving me a one over before heading out to look for a blanket.

I started looking through the channels, thankful the voices stopped.
