Time Traveler
The merchant and I meet the Turk at a warehouse near the harbor. The Turk insists that all his Persian and Turkish rugs are 40 guineas each. He says he will sell the others from Arab lands for 30 each. The merchant inspects the goods and approves the quality, but he is an old man and has already forgotten the prices in the secret message. He says he only has room in his shop to display twenty additional rugs. He asks me what he should offer.
