The long night

The girl arrives at a diner and immediately orders a cheese burger with gravy fries and a cola. A drifter walks in out of the night shaking the rain off his beard. The waitress greets him as Bernard. Bernard seems to be an older man in his late 40's. "Just say it, this muthafucka is old, dirty and overall smelly!" Uh sorry I was just trying to be polite. He sits down and asks for a coffee. He looks at the girl and asks her how she is doing. She simply nods at him. "I altered the atoms around him to make him smell like fries, haha." The waitress brings the girl her food and Bernard his coffee. He asks the girl if she comes this way often. She replies, no. He asks if she wants to come party. "I don't think this is a great idea. Dude gives me the creeps, but it's up to ya'll."
