A Tale of Two Choices

Dorothea did not like the look or smell of Dark Annie. Dark Annie was heavily painted and her scent was of cheap perfume covering the stench of sweat. Dorothea knew that kind words could cover evil intentions.

Dorothea ran down one of the dark alleys in a blind panic and tripped. She looked up and looming over her was a bewhiskered man holding a black doctor's case.
