A shadowy figure

"Hey, Robert. I am getting a bit creeped out on my walk home. I know you're in the area, can you come pick me up?", you ask Robert. He agrees and tells you a location to be picked up from. He will be waiting near a gas station, parked on the side of the road near an intersection. Robert had to do something in that area anyways, and will be ready and waiting for you to get in so you can drive home. The walk to the intersection is about 5 minutes, but you figure you can handle it, and that it is better than walking the whole way.
