A Tale of Two Choices

Dorothea went to Brenda's room and took the hair brush from the side table, just inside the door. The brush was a heavy wooden brush, with spiked teeth on its side. Dorothea trembled, terrified of the punishment that lay ahead. As she was leaving, a letter caught her eye. Before she could think about it, Dorothea picked up the letter and put it in her pocket.

Brenda took the hairbrush from Dorothea, and screeched "Brush my hair."

"Pardon," said Dorothea.

"You heard me, brush my hair. It looks like a rats nest."
