Chance for a Dance | Just a Kiss GxB Paranormal Romance
If he didn't want to dance, that was fine with me. I didn't really care for it much either. At least, not as much as I wanted to spend time with him.
Besides--
"Hang tight, I'll go grab us some snacks," I called over my shoulder as I swiveled for the refreshments counter.
Only thing was, the line was so long it wrapped around the other side of the room. It was going to take a while. And as if I wasn't regretting my decision enough already, a heavy presence stepped up too close behind me, breath uncomfortably hot against my neck.
I felt a hand slip around my wrist as a low, male voice whispered, "Mmm, I could sure use something to eat." A pause to let that sink in, then, "Something young and fresh."
Creepiest thing was, no one else in line seemed to notice the man's presence. It was like only I could see him.
