Doorways
After a short distance you soon come to a moderate sized house made out of field stones.
You and Rena enter and you see a formidable looking woman standing there with an owl perched on her shoulder. Beyond her is a doorway.
Rena pulls you forward to meet her mother, but you put the brakes on.
"Don't worry," she says, "it only attacks when mother gives it the command to."
You step forward and introduce yourself.
"Welcome to our humble home," "responds Rena's mother. "I am Beatrice."
"Our guest had a run-in with the blue fairy clan and needs some tending to," explained Rena.
"Oh dear! Are they still tormenting visitors to the realm? You must have come through that infernal door that leads to the outside world," said Beatrice. "Would you care for some tea or would you like your wounds tended to first?"
