Out of Time

You find yourself in the woods alone, you hear arguing in the distance. You turn, seeing Natalie yelling at you. You're not wearing the same clothes from the party, meaning that this is a different memory. Your brain tells you that this was a few months before the birthday party debacle.
"You're such a terrible friend! All you do is care about yourself. Amara this, Amara that. Well, guess what? I'm done trying to be your friend when all you really do is shut me down." Natalie starts to walk away.
"You don't get to just say that and walk away. This is a conversation if you haven't noticed."
Natalie turns back. "I think it's a little too late in our friendship for you to try to talk to me about anything. You should tried before things got this bad."
"Is lack of conversation really what this is about?"
"See, you don't even understand why I'm mad because you're too busy blowing me off."
"Oh my gosh, Natalie. You know what, fine. I'm-"
"It's too late for apologizes now. I'm done with this friendship and more importantly, I'm done with you." She walks towards her car, leaving both versions of you breathlessly shocked.

You decide to chase her down yourself to ask her what you can do. "Natalie!"
"Can't just leave me alone, Amara, you've already done it plenty of times." She sees your clothes and gives a weird look. "What happened to your t-shirt?"
"I, um, changed."
"That quickly?" She doesn't believe you.
"Yes." Natalie groans upon hearing your answer and opens her car door.
"How can I fix this? Tell me how and I'll do it." Natalie's eyes suddenly shimmer with hope.
"Give me a couple of weeks." She pauses, a look of desperation appearing on her face. "Or dump Dean by tomorrow and then we can talk." She shuts the car door.

Suddenly, a picture of someone you used to know appears in your brain.
