A Sherlock Holmes Case

You tell Mr. Bennett that you are sorry, but you cannot take the case at the moment.

Mr. Bennett looks a bit taken aback at first, but stays right in his seat. He did not take the subtle hint that your refusal of the case meant that he had to leave. Just as you were about to say something, Mr. Bennett intercedes, "Please, I do care a lot about my friend, and I have gone to many other investigators, doctors, even a chiropractor, but I have not been able to find out what is wrong with him." He pauses for a moment, thinking about his next choice of words, "I need someone as brilliant and talented as you when it comes to this sort of work. Please, your extraordinary mind is the only one that can help me."

After the obvious compliment, your confidence gets quite a boost. You hesitate for a moment, then smirk over at Watson. He knows full and well what it takes to make you take on a case, and he only rolls his eyes and sighs in reply to your sly smile.

You sit up straight in your seat, and motion for Mr. Bennett to continue. "Please, tell me everything that has happened so far with your dear employer."
