You have joined a small band of Boxers in the Shanghai district. For the next year, you and your group snuff around the markets, residencies and the countryside. Foreigners and suspected christians are either tortured or killed, sometimes both. Routinely, you would tie them up on the streets, cut them and often leave their dead bodies there as an example.
The district of Shanghai is in a perpetual state of fear, and eventually word gets out. You hear that the British are coming from the sea to end this carnage. You can either stay to defend the shore from the British, or you leave and go to Peking, a safer choice.
