The Babysitter

There was a great gust of wind. Sam closed his eyes and waited for the giant foot to slam on him. But it never did.

Jacob narrowly avoided crushing his tiny babysitter by a margin of a few feet. The boy was completely unaware of Sam's predicament. Jacob went over to knock in the bathroom door. "He must think I'm in there," Sam thought.

"Sam, are you coming out? I wanna play war again!" the kid knocked on the bathroom door loudly.

Silence.

"Hmm, I guess he's not in there..." Jacob was very confused. Sam was calling out to the kid at the top of his lungs, but he couldn't hear him. The giant boy simply trotted out of the room to go look for Sam.

Jacob listened for a second. Again, he heard silence. "Where was Sam?" he thought, puzzled. He looked outside and couldn't see Sam's car. "I bet he left..." Jacob was heartbroken, but he looked on the bright side. "No rules!" he shouted out loud. The boy returned to his room, nearly stepping on Sam again as he plopped down on his bed and started to play video games. His Nintendo 3DS whirred to life, making a sibilant and bright noise.

The tiny teen quickly realized his only way out of this was to get Jacob's attention somehow. So he started walking.

And walking.

And walking.

What was a two second journey when he was big took nearly 20 minutes now that he was small. Sam was actually exhausted. And his journey wasn't even over. He looked up at the gargantuan bed towering above him. Luckily, Jacob never makes his bed. His sheets were hanging off in every which way. Sam could easily scale the boy's bed by braving the bed sheets, climbing them like a rope. "Looks like there's no where to go but up," Sam said to himself.

After finally gripping and pulling himself up to the top of the bed, Sam's arms were killing him. His fatigue was almost getting the better of him. Also, his entire journey thus far took nearly 45 minutes. He hoped that Jacob would stay put long enough for Sam to get his attention.
