Coitus Machina

You realize that this moment is something that will live with the woman for as long as she lives. It's not the sort of lasting impression anyone should have to live with, especially someone who had no part in any of this. She is guilty only of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

She shouldn't have to suffer.

Slowly you walk over to the woman in the far corner of the room. "It's alright," you tell her in your kindest, gentlest voice. "This will all be over soon."

"No," she sobs, shaking with fright. "Please.. Please don't."

You crouch down beside her and put your hand over the back of her skull. "This will be quick and painless," you assure her in your kindest voice. You begin to apply pressure when a loud boom sounds from behind you. Something explodes through your midsection and you feel the strength leaving you. You fall sideways to the ground, back to the woman you had nearly killed.

Although you have lost all motor functions, your sensors work perfectly well. Alice is walking toward you, broken Henry0057-C at her side and a gun in her hand. Her throat is a dark color where you had gripped her.

"Andrew, power down," she tells you, raising her gun before her.

"That's twice that you've tried to kill me," You tell her dispassionately from the floor.

"I will succeed this time," she tells you, stopping just out of arms reach, not that you could reach her anyway. She points the barrel of the gun at your stomach, just below the hole she'd put in you only moments ago. She pulls the trigger and everything goes dark and silent and finished.
