The Prophet

Running to the Captain you beg him to turn back. After some gold persuasion he obliges and turns the ship around. You let loose a sigh of relief that you will be heading home. You rest upon the bow of the ship letting the warm breezes whip your face and rustle through your scraggly beard.

Not soon after the ship has turned around, the weather begins to become fouler. The sky darkens with foreboding clouds, the waves become choppier as a light drizzle begins. Some of the ship hands whisper to the Captain while looking in your direction. He waves them off. Good, the captain is at least a sensible man, you think.

It isn't more than ten minutes later and the storm is in full force. Cracks of lightning and the ships teetering back and forth violently as the waves crash upon the deck. The ship hands finally vocalize their concern loud and clear to the captain.

"This man has caused the storm! He has angered god!"

"what would you have me do?!" The Captain attempts to rationalize.

"Throw him overboard!"

Oh hell, just what I need

"I won't cast a man to the depths just on an assumption! We can ride out this storm!" The Captain shouts to his crew.

As if in response, a massive lumbering mass is seen in the distance emerging from the sea. As the water falls back into the ocean a seabeast of epic proportions faces the small schooner. A shell as black as night and eyes as red as blood, the gargantuan crab approaches the ship. Snapping its crusher claw toward the ship, the sound resembles a thunderous boom. The ship hands scream in terror as the Captain becomes wide eyed, loosening his grip upon the wheel. He turns to you, his face pale as snow dripping with rain.

"Cast him overboard!"

Your choices are few. Fight back the crew while suffering the immense crab creature, or be cast into the sea? Clearly you have angered Alru in your defiance.
