Criminals

You run after the girl. She hides behind a tree, thinking that it was too dark for you to see her. When you get close to the tree you slow down and pretend to search or her. As you pass the tree you throw your dagger. The young girl screams just when the dagger penetrates her throat. You walk towards her as she slowly lowers herself to the ground, blood trickling down the front and back of her neck. You remove the dagger and she falls on her face beside the tree trunk. You hear an explosion. You grin as you hope that that was the bus that the ex-criminal was in. You race to toward the explosion which was not any further than a half block away.
You hear sirens coming from your right. Maybe a mile or two away. You pick up your speed a bit and pretty soon get to the burning public transport. You see out of the corner of your left eye, a terrorist.
