You roll out of bed the next morning and step out of your mansion and into East Square. You continue West until you reach West Square.
The hotel is a bustle of activity when you step inside. People scatter back and forth, checking in and checking out, moving luggage here and there. In the commotion, nobody seems to notice you wandering through the crowd. You find you rather like it that way.
Until you spot Sebastian. And he sees you, too, judging by his confident stride headed your way and the smile on his lips.
"Carol," he says with a slight bow. "A pleasure to see you."
"Likewise," you respond in turn. "What are you doing here, Sebastian? I thought you had a home in town."
"Unfortunately, my home is on the edge of the kingdom," he explains. "The state seized it around the time the war started and sent me to live here."
"I see."
"Speaking of which." Sebastian steps forward, taking more animatedly. "Will you join me in my room, Carol? There's something I want to show you."
