Loveology

CHAPTER 19
The art museum is scarcely populated when you enter it, just the way you like it. You pay your entry fee and begin your exploration.

You bypass the modern art collection immediately and enter the religious collection. You're not a particularly religious person, but the paintings there are undeniably beautiful.

A piece that especially attracts you attention is a simple grayscale painting of the Annunciation. The Virgin Mary sits in the shadows while Gabriel descends from above to give her the good news. The artist's use of light fascinates you.

"A beautiful piece." A voice startles you out of your revery, and you look over to see Sebastian standing next to you. You're a little shocked to see a man as cold as he in an art museum, but you cover it up with a friendly greeting.

You haven't completely forgiven him for threatening to kick you out of your home.

"The artist was Italian, of course," Sebastian continues after greeting you. "Catholic, also. He use primarily charcoal to get this effect. An interesting choice given..." Sebastian continues speaking, but you don't hear what he has to say. He appears to be one of those fanatics who believe art is about technique, not emotion.

You have half a mind to correct him.
