Ned's eyes flick open. "A turncoat, an' if I'm not careful, an outcast. You have no place in this struggle an' I failed to protect yer. Now I got no choice but to bring yer with me."
He closes his eyes once more and a wave of nausea washes over you and you stare out of the invisible wall to steady your balance. Two apparitions move in front of you - reflections perhaps, of yourself and Ned.
To your amazement you see the reflection of Ned stepping backwards onto the grass in front of you, followed by the reflection of yourself. There is a flash of light, and you see the other Ned put away his pendant.
You turn to face the real Ned sitting beside you in the cylinder. His eyes are still closed.
"Just tracing back to the joining point," he says. "Brace yourself..."
