Beautiful Melody
I couldn't stand the look of disappointment in their eyes, I turned away to look out the window. My eyes fell on a mini van pulling to a stop at the house next door. For weeks there had been moving vans and movers carrying boxes into the modern gothic type mansion, but no one knew who the new owners were. "I think the new neighbors are here." I inform my sisters who immediately join my side to get a glimpse of them.
From what I could tell, it was a family of three. The woman looked almost out of place standing between the two guys, the younger in a leather jacket and ripped jeans and the older covered in tattoos, yet it was clear she was the one in control. The three of them headed towards the house, the woman and younger male exchanged a few words before they all disappeared into the house.
"They don't look like suburban people." Cassie decided. "Wonder what they do to afford a house here." Nancy remarked thoughtfully. "It doesn't matter, does it?" I questioned turning back to my sisters. "Of course it matters!" Cassie exclaimed. "They could be cops." she added. I shook my head "Doubt it, no cop would be that tattooed up." I reasoned. "Then they could be criminals." Cassie countered. "Living in Twilight Valley, get real." I laughed. "Yeah, criminals stay in the city." Nancy agreed.
Our conversation was interrupted by my cell phone ringing.
