L pulls some smaller white envelopes out of the bottom of the manilla folder and lifted the flaps, revealing tattered looking pieces of paper with japanese hiragana written on them. Oddly, though, they appear to be written left to right, opposed to the traditional japanese form of writing up to down or right to left. Furthermore, spaces between groups of some hiragana indicated word structure. There were two notes. As youexamine them, you notice that the killer only uses 26 out of the 46 Hiragana in the Japanese alphabet.
