Wild Night

"Sorry, Jake." you say, walking slowly to your date. "This night was great...but it ends here. It was great meeting you, though!" You say, managing a smile while you unpin your red rose and hand it to him. Jake looks angry, but he sighs and takes the red rose.

"It was nice meeting you too, Sophie." He said, kissing you on the cheek and leaving the bar.

You turn back and see the man still standing there with his hands on his pockets, and innocent grin on his face. You can't help but smile at him as you walk back to where he is. He opens his mouth to talk, but you beat him to it.

"You said you'd explain." you say with one of your eyebrows raised. "So explain."

The man removes one hand from his pocket and runs it through his hair. "So," he starts, still smiling. "I just found out that my girlfriend's been sleeping with my roommate for the past month. I guess I overreacted, and I wanted to make her jealous...and you were the first girl I came across. But I think it worked, since she looks pretty pissed right now." The man said, nodding towards a blonde girl sitting in a booth on the opposite end of the bar. He was right, she was seething with anger.

The man waved to her, and turned to you. "I'm sorry for kissing you. I wasn't thinking right. But if you're gonna slap me...I'd rather you do it somewhere Kate wouldn't see."

You nod your head. "Yeah, I don't think slapping you right now is a good idea." He laughs, and you hook your arm around his. He leads you out of the bar, and toward the parking lot.

"Oh yeah," he says, as he walks you to your car. "I'm Oliver, by the way. We should do this again...Sophie, was it?"
