Through the Eyes of Sam

He woke up about a half hour after he had been fully prepared. His eyes wandered around the room he was now in, terrified. He called out in gibberish, screaming as if he already knew what was coming for him. Unfortunately for him, I was having too much fun, and I wasn't ready to stop. As loudly as I could, I pulled the knife out from its safety sheath, letting the blade slide against the edge, creating a terrible noise I could only compare to the sound of a nail sliding across the old chalkboards schools used to contain. This seemed to cause him to panic, as he began to struggle against his bonds that held him to the steel chair in the center of the room.
After a moment, I'd decided he'd had enough mystery, and I revealed myself to him, knife glowing in the dim light. At first, he looked at me as if he had never seen before, and then gasped as the realization came over him. "Wha-whatcha doing there, guy?" he said. "Come on, man! It was just some broad I picked up on the street. It wasn't like-"
He became silent, fear slowly paralyzing him, killing him. However, I wasn't done yet. I began to talk. "Have you ever felt pain before, sir?" I said. "Have you ever felt what it's like for your whole body to feel as if you were being shot over and over again?"
"N-no," he replied.
"Well," I said, my voice surprisingly menacing, "today's your lucky day."
