"Screw this," Joe says to no one in particular. "We can't just wait here forever, Johnson you stay here with McKenna while we go across the way and check things out. Who knows he may even end up cooperating once he hears what the boss has in store for him." Johnson looks particularly sour about this but doesn't say anything. Joe quietly crosses the street a hundred yards up from the accountant's house. Using his radio he check on the men on the roof, "How the street look, over." Radio silence is all he is greeted with. Joe curses loudly to himself, "What could have happened to them?" He signals his partner over to him and they circle around the accountants house. "My radio is on the fritz or something, see if you can raise the snipers." Joe's partner tries and fails. Joe tries Johnson and McKenna with no response. "What's going on Joe?" Joe looks confused then suddenly recognition dawns on his face. "It's going down. Right now. Get to the accountant I'll go for Mckenna and Johnson." Joe dashes across the street drawing his gun as his partner does the same and enters the house in search of the accountant. Coming up the stairs of the safe house Joes worst fears are realized. Gun shot holes riddle the door of the safe house which is ajar. Gun in hand Joe turns the corner only to find one of his oldest friends, McKenna, riddled with bullets. A white rose, the calling card of the Russian mob, is left on his chest along with Johnson's badge and a license. Bending down to pick up the liscense Joe recognizes Johnson's face but looking more closely is horrified to read his real name as Dmitri Asimov. The realization that Johnson was a double agent all along floods into Joes mind horrifying him,, he whips out his radio to call his partner, the response is in a heavily accented Russian voice. "Your partner will not be bothering me anymore, I think not," the voice is cold and unforgiving. "What do you want!!" Screams Joe just as gunshots can be heard over the radio as well as through the windows. Horrified Joe calls the station for backup, "Everything went wrong, Johnson is Russian, Get anyone here as quickly as you can. Officer down. I repeat, Officer downÂ…Damn. Damn. Damn. Damn."
