Joe thinks to himself, whats the harm in telephoning Rodez. Lets see what he has to say. After a few rings Joe is greeted by the slick voice of Rodez over the phone. "How can I be of service, oh mighty officer of the law?" Joe smiles to himself, "Enough of that Rodez, you told me you had information now what is it and what do you want for it? Shall I assume the usual fifty dollars?" Rodez was a junky. This was something that Joe did take advantage of when going after information. he knew Rodez was always trying to find money for his next score. "No, not this time, I'm off that junk. This is too good, I need something bigger. I got a small misdemeanor charged agaisnt me last month JOe, No big deal right? And i was totally in the right. Now do you think you could get me off the hook for that If what I have to say is worth what I think it is." Joe is silent for a second before slowly nodding, "If its good, lets hear it." Rodez pauses for a moment before speaking, "You got a leak man, Even I know you've moved up your operation and I'm sure the chief just told you that himself. Someone in your office is dirty and its going to be hell to pay for you." Joe is silent for a long while, "Your going to have to do better than that if you want me to do anything for you Rodez." Joe at this point has grabbed a pad and pencil and is jotting down Rodez's comments word for word. Rodez tells him that he doesn't know who the mole is but he knows that they work for the Russians. He also knows that this guy is receiving very large cash payments on the regular from the Russian Mob. "I'll see what I can do about your case Rodez, thanks for your rumor mongering," and with that Joe hung up the phone.
