So, I asked Miranda if she had any plans for after work. She looked at me kind of oddly, which isn't too surprising, but said yes, she did. The way in which she said it -- sort of smiling in a secretive, almost mischievous way -- made me seriously wonder just what her after-work plans actually were.
I needed an excuse for asking, so I said I was going shopping and looking to make it a group event. She seemed flattered that I'd want to invite her, but maintained that she had something going on and she shouldn't cancel it.
But she said (that sly smile growing wider) I could tag along with her if I wanted. She said I'd probably have a lot of fun.
Okay, I'm super-curious and super-alarmed. What does someone like Miranda do for fun? Chess club? "Ugly Betty" marathon? Or does she have some wild, crazy social life I know nothing about? Should I take her up on her offer?
