Sigma Epsilon Chi
"Well, as I'm sure you guessed, you are more than welcome to spend your days here," said Geoff, upon hearing Nerek's cover story. "Of course, I will have to ask that you stay on the ground floor, but I believe you will find even these limited accommodations to be more than adequate."
"I am quite sure that I will," replied Nerek, bowing.
"Lione will escort you to your quarters. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must attend to the next item of business." Geoff turned his attention back to his staff while a young woman stepped forward to greet him.
"This way, please," she said, with a sweetness of voice that didn't quite make it into her eyes. Nerek followed her down a straightforward set of hallways that lead them past the kitchen and the stables.
"And this is your room," she declared sweetly, flinging the door open with a loud thwack.
"Thank you very much," Nerek replied, having an idea. "Here, take this before you leave." He drew twenty gold coins out from the dragon's pouch, and handed it to her.
"Oh, I couldn't accept this!" she said, positively beaming with greed.
"Think nothing of it," said Nerek. "I... had a vision. Yeah. From my... from my god. While I'm here, I plan to give away money to all of the young adults I can find." Which is true, he thought to himself, because I have no idea which of you are the bastards.
"That's so generous!" she said, giving him an impulsive hug. "I wish more pilgrims could be like you. Far be it from me to get in the way of your holy quest. I'll send every teenager in the castle your way!"
