Fan Fic: Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?

You arrive in the island nation of the Philippines, a country with over 60 ethnic groups and 7,000 islands, 200 of which are permanently settled. One of its many cultures is the Ifugao, an independent people in a mountainous area on the main island of Luzon. The Ifugao are known for building their villages directly atop the mountain itself. They are famous for their gigantic rice terraces, which are among the biggest tourist attractions in the Philippines. These 2000-year-old terraces were carved into the mountains, without the aid of machinery, to provide level steps where the natives could plant rice.

You examine every corner of the Philippines for clues to Carmen Sandiego's whereabouts.

"I don't remember seeing the person you're looking for," says the Buddhist monk.

"Try somewhere else," the old woman answers.

"Never seen her or what you say she's carrying around," the horse carriage driver says.
