The Island of Destiny
Buck awkwardly gazes at you for a moment as you utter the answer he obviously wasn't anticipating. You wish you could explain it better to him, but you just don't have a good feeling about trying to fight that bizarre jungle girl with guns. You don't know why but you just sense as if it a bit of a risky plan, you did notice the girl's superior strength over you. But could she really take down five members of the military?
Apparently on your own again, Buck and his group of soldiers start to march down the hill, leaving you facing them and the jungle behind you. Right as you are turning around and eyeing those gigantic island palms in front of you, you hear a loud explosion in the distance. Quickly, you run up the hill anxious to see what just happened. As you edge to the top of the hill, you stare down in horror at the five charred corpses of what were just a minute ago U.S. soldiers. You then notice with equal terror the cause for their demise. The girl from before it standing atop another hill, her arm outstretched and her finger pointing down at them. Did she really cause that explosion with just her finger? You don't have a second to contemplate it further because just in that instant, she darts her head over towards you and raises her hand. Immediately, you leap away and start sprinting into the jungle. Not looking back, you run as fast as your legs can carry you.
***
About a half hour later, you are in a completely new part of the jungle. The trees are sparse here and you can hear a swift current coming in through the ocean. You are keeling over to catch your breath, that was the fastest you've run in years. Not to mention the distance you covered, you wanted to feel secure and away from that girl. You still don't quite have that feeling...
As you now glance to your right, you peer through a few trees and see that the beach is not far from you. To your right, the jungle continues on and becomes a little denser. On the beach, there's a better chance of finding rescue, yet you'd easily be seen if you ran into that girl. If you go into the jungle, you probably won't be found..but who's going to help you then?
The choice is yours.
