You clench the handle of the torch between your teeth, slightly tilting your head to ensure no loose flames crawl up the base. Gripping the rope firmly with both hands, you jump and heave yourself up, balancing your body against the wall with your feet.

The ledge instantly crumbles from your weight. You let out an embarrassing cry as you fall heavily onto your back. The torch scatters three feet from your mouth before clattering against the wall. The room dances in the light and you immediately snatch the torch firmly in both hands, steadying it upright.
