Pieces of a Dream

"Uh… wha…"
Night had come and Xennex had fallen asleep after playing Kingdom Hearts for 6 hours straight. Now she was on her bed, lying on her stomach, hair messed up, and drool below her mouth.
Now she was just waking up.
"Oi vei…" She mumbled. "I must've fallen asleep for a bit too long… flippin' alarm clock…"
She reached over and smacked the alarm clock's button, turning off the annoying sound. Then she pushed herself up and sat on the edge of her bed. Rubbing her eyes she looked in front of her and down to the floor. She reached down and picked up a black, long-sleeved shirt and a pair of jeans. Then she changed and reached for her book-bag. But when she did this every thing froze. Everything stopped except herself.
She straitened her body, stood upright, and looked around her room. To her surprise, a portal opened… no… two portals opened and two hooded people in long, black jackets stepped out.
"Come with us, Xennex." The one on the right said.
"H-how do you know my name?" She asked, scared half to death.
"Just come." The one on the left said. "And don't question us."
The girl could tell that they were both men. And, surprisingly, she knew who they were. It just came to her.
"Xigbar? Xaldin?" She asked, reaching in front of her.
The two hooded members took a step back in surprise. It appeared that she knew more than they had all thought, including herself.
"I said don't question." The one on the left said again.
"Yes, yes Xaldin…" She said shyly.
"Uh?" Xaldin whispered. "Maybe she knows more than we though."
"Possibly…" Xigbar replied.
Xennex stepped closer, step by step, and soon into the portal. However, she didn't have time to think about which member it was.
All three people disappeared into one portal, traveling back to the Castle that Never Was.
"I don't think we should go to the Superior quite yet." Xaldin said.
"No." Xigbar agreed. "Not till tomorrow, at least."
Alas, they arrived at the Castle that Never Was. Now, Xennex had played the game, but that was nothing compared to what she was experiencing at the moment. I mean, in the game, it was much, much smaller than actually being there. It was HUGE.
The girl quivered slightly at the irony. She had wanted to live in the Kingdom Hearts world, so now here she was, in the Castle that Never Was, with two members of the actual Organization XIII. Yes. It was a bit too ironic.
"Wh-why am I here?" Xennex asked.
"We're to take you to the Superior tomorrow. When you're with him, he will tell you I why you're here." Xaldin said.
"Uh, okay…" Xennex said, barely louder than a whisper.
Xaldin side-stepped over to Xigbar and whispered: "Who are we gonna keep her with?"
"I guess Larxene…" Xigbar replied.
"Ah, yes." Xaldin said. "But wouldn't Larx be a bit too rough with her? I mean, look at her!"
Xigbar looked over at the girl, Xennex gazing back up at him.
"Xal, Larxene's the only other girl in the Organization! We don't really have any choice!" Xigbar said.
"Eh, I guess you're right." Xaldin said. "To Larxene's room!"
On they went with Xennex trying to keep up with them. Eventually they slowed down, giving the girl a chance to keep up with them.
Okay, they got to Larxene's room. But the unfortunate incident with Xaldin and Xigbar will not be discussed. Let's just say that Larxene wasn't exactly the right person they would want to be around with, savvy?
"Hmm… let's see what we have here…" Larxene said as she paced the floor in front of the white-haired girl. "A bit on the small side, I should say…"
Xennex stayed silent while Larxene went on doing the other things she'd do.
Larxene had made the girl stay in a corner of the room while she would do other things, occasionally saying things to make Xennex not bother her.
"Hey! I'm not doin' anything to get on your case!" Xennex said, putting her hands up and putting her back against the wall behind her.
"Well, then, keep it that way." Larxene growled, still going on with the other things.
"Fine…" Xennex said under her breath.

"Ashley."
"Here."
"Taylor."
"Here."
"Karen."
"Here."
"Caden."
"Here."
"Xennex."
No reply.
The teacher was taking roll at the time. Unfortunately, Xennex wasn't
present at the time, so she wasn't there at school… No. She was off in some
other world.
"Xennex." The teacher repeated, expecting a small "Yo!" to be heard from the corner.
"I don't think she's here today." Someone in the third row of the class
said.
"Well, obviously!" A person in the fourth row said.
"That's enough!" The teacher said sternly. "Does anyone know where Xennex
is?"
Again, no reply.
"Well that's wonderful." The teacher said. "We shall not bring this up
again today. Go on with your work."
All the students went on writing at once. It wasn't too odd for the class
that the white-haired anime freak was gone, for they had always ignored her.
But now that she really was gone, it was noticeable.
Anyway, they went on writing as Xennex was gone in a separate world,
dealing with other things besides math, history, or any other school things.
No. She wouldn't have to worry about those things. And she probably
wouldn't have to worry about them for the rest of her life. That was, until
she returned to her normal life… which probably wouldn't happen, being with
Organization XIII and all.

.::O::O::O::O::O::.

"OW!" Xennex yelled. "Stop that!"
Larxene had apparently been messing with the poor girl almost the whole
time she was with her. Using lightening was just one of the ways she would
do it.
"Make me!" Larxene said, glaring at the small girl.
"Fine then! I will!" Xennex said back to the blonde-haired person in front
of her.
"A-are you challenging me?!" Larxene asked in shock.
"As a matter of fact, I am." Xennex replied.
The white-haired girl stood up from where she was sitting and looked
Larxene in the eye. "I am challenging you." Then she stepped back and put
her hands up in front of her, arms crossed over each other.
Two sai appeared in her hands as she thrust her arms back and jumped up.
Larxene too formed her weapons in her hands and stepped back, dodging the
other girl's attack.
It was quite an odd scene to watch: a strong, mean, organization member
fighting this short, scrawny little thing. But, one thing for sure, this
so-called 'scrawny little thing' wasn't what you'd think when fighting.
"EH?! What got into you?!" Larxene asked once all had settled, yet the
battle was not finished.
"You should think before messing with someone you don't know…" She growled, staring at her. "And you should think before challenging them, too."
"Uh?!" Larxene stepped backward again, Xennex following.
"Oh, yeah, I went there!" Xennex said, still following Larxene.
Yes. It was a very odd scene.
"N-now hold on-" Larxene started, but Xennex wasn't listening. She only
started and kept on fighting, blow after blow.
"EH?! HOLD ON!!" Larxene protested.
Finally, Xennex stopped, breathing hard and standing above Larxene, sai
still in hand.
"Huff- Huff- Huff- You still wanna mess with me?" Xennex asked.
"Wh-what kind of an animal are you?!" Larxene asked, trying to push
herself up off the ground.
"The kind that doesn't wanna be messed with…" Xennex replied, stepping
backward, and letting Larxene get up off the floor.
"Get out." Larxene ordered. "Now."
"Fine." Xennex said. "I'll get out."
With that, the white-and-black-haired girl stormed out of the room and
down the hall, but soon stopped. Now where was she going to stay?
Oh snap…
"Great…" She mumbled. "That's just great. I defeated some maniac, and when
I feel like I've done an accomplishment, I end up without a place to stay in
for the night until tomorrow when I hafta see the Superior. Wonderful…"
She sat down on the floor and let out a huff of air.
"Man. Where'd those weapons come from? I've never experienced that
before." She said, looking at her hands and twisting them in different
directions. "Odd…"
"Very odd." Said a deep voice behind her.
"Uh?!" She said.
"I wasn't expecting you until tomorrow."
Xennex looked behind her and saw the leader himself, Xemnas. He had his
hood pulled over his face. But that didn't stop Xennex from telling that it
was him.
She quickly turned back around and whispered under her breath: "Oh, snap."
"Come with me, Xennex." The Superior said, outstretched hand ready to take
hers.
"Uh… okay…" She said quietly.
She walked alongside Xemnas into a portal and to his office. There, Xennex
stayed shivering in front of Xemnas' desk, staring up at him.
"Xennex…" He said. "I wasn't expecting you today…"
"Expecting?!" She whispered.
"So you will have to make do with staying with another member. I have
already heard the incident with Larxene." Xemnas continued. "So I will put
you with Roxas."
"Roxas?" She thought. "Maybe this won't be so bad, after all…" She paused
and thought over what was just said. "News sure does travel fast around
here…"
He called Roxas and told him what he was to do.
"Yes, Superior." Roxas said, then turned around to see the white-haired
girl he was to stay with.
Xennex smiled (almost identical to how Namine smiled) when Roxas came over to greet her.
"Yeah, you're supposed to stay with me until you get a room." Roxas said,
and with that, he opened a portal and disappeared with Xennex off into some
other part of the Castle that Never Was.

.::O::O::O::O::O::.

Well, that 'some other part' happened to be Roxas' room. Apparently,
Xennex had to stay with him all the time until she got her own room. At
least that wouldn't be too bad, now would it? Nah.
"So, uh, do you know a whole lot about yourself you need to know?" Roxas
asked, scratching behind his neck.
"Um, not really…" Xennex said shyly.
"Well, then, allow for me to do it for you." Roxas said, plopping himself
down on his bed and patting on the space next to him, gesturing for the girl
to sit down.
"I-I guess. Okay." I said, sitting down next to him.
He seemed very friendly to Xennex, so there were no worries to her. I
mean, it was Roxas here. Who'd be worried about that?
"You… You weren't supposed to exist…" He said. "You were made from your
somebody…"
"Huh?" Xennex asked, confused.
"You've played the games, right?" Roxas asked.
"Y-yeah." Xennex stammered.
"Then you should know all about this whole 'somebody/nobody' thing." He
went on. "But now, what you didn't know, is that you're really part of it.
You're a nobody. Do you know your somebody?"
"No…" Xennex said. "Should I?"
"Um… I guess it's okay that you don't, but most nobodies know their
somebodies… except for members VII-XII. All their somebodies are unknown."
"I guess I'm starting to get it now…" Xennex said slowly.
"Well that's good." Roxas said smiling.
"Does… anyone know my somebody?" She asked, looking at Roxas.
"I don't think so…" Roxas replied with a sigh and fading smile. "No. Your
somebody, along with the other 6 unknown somebodies of the other members, is
unknown. And I don't think we'll be able to know her name. Much less
actually know her."
"Oh…" Xennex said, looking down at the floor beneath her. "I… guess that's
okay…"
"Yeah…" Roxas said, sighing again. "Here."
"Huh?" She said.
Roxas had pulled out two sea salt ice creams. "Thought you might want
one." He said, smiling at her once again.
"Th-thanks." Xennex said shyly, taking the ice cream and licking at it.
Yes, it was a cute scene to look at. But, yet, it didn't seem quite right.
I mean, it was the girls first time there and she was already friends with
one of the members. Odd enough?
Anyway, they continued to lick at the ice cream, staying silent and not
speaking another word about the somebody/nobody business or any other things
about the girl. No, that wouldn't come until the next day. And, quite
honestly, Xennex was glad of that. She didn't want to do any of that quite
yet. There's only a specific amount of surprise and excitement that one
person can take per day, right?
"Uh, any idea where I'm gonna sleep? Not to pressure you or anything."
Xennex asked.
"Um, well, this was kind of a last-minute thing that was sprung on me, so
I don't know exactly." Roxas said. "But I'm sure we'll think of something."
"Yeah." Xennex said.

.::O::O::O::O::O::.

Well, Roxas had agreed on giving her a pillow and blanket and letting her
sleep on the floor (and no, Xennex didn't mind), so that's what they went
with.
Now night had come and Xennex was lying on the floor and looking over at
the bed head across the room from her.
"Good night, Roxas." She said to him.
"'Night." He said.
It was Different for Roxas. He hadn't taken care of someone ever, so this
was something new to him. Something he would hopefully end up enjoying.
For Xennex, it was too something different. She wasn't use to being with
someone who would take care of her 24/7.
It was something that both of them would have to get used to.
