Legend

You know your Dad and whenever he crafts a piece of armor or a weapon, he always scratches his initials somewhere on it. You pick up a helmet from the table and look on the inside of it and while it's small and barely noticeable, you see your Dad's initials.

After seeing this, you hold on to it and start looking at the other weapons and armor more closely, this causes the gypsies to get agitated again.

"You paying for that or what?" one of the bigger ones pointing to the helmet you're holding.
"I don't see why I should considering you stole it from my Dad's shop, I can even prove it since his initials are engraved on the thing. I'm just looking for more stuff you probably took from his shop."

The gypsies look at each other and begin to converse with each other, then address you again.

"You must understand, we are scavengers by nature and we tend to keep that which is abandoned and what falls into our lap. It's how we live and survive. Now perhaps some of our younger and more misguided members acquired some things that they mistakenly believed to be abandoned. If this is the case, you have our apologies. However, we cannot just let you take what is in our possession now. At least not without a price. If you wish you may buy up all the items that once belonged to your father at the discount of the low total of 50 gold pieces. Reasonable I think. And much more preferable to what would occur if you attempted to leave with those items without paying…"

This is a hairy situation, a couple gypsies block your exit and two more are on the other side of you. The fighting would cause more to come as well. Attempting to fight would surely result in your death. Not too many options here.
