Legend

You look down at the gore that was once the corrupted form of your wife and son. Dark deeds have been done this night and not by you. Azoth will certainly pay for this desecration and he still mocks you.

"Hey I believe your parents are still wandering around in the village, maybe they'd like to speak to you as well!"

You don't even dignify his remark. You just take a branch from one of the trees and thrust it into your campfire and then proceed to burn the bodies. You know deep down inside that Brenda and your son are really in the One True God's glorious presence, but you still want to put a final end of their hollow shells to be used for anymore evil.

The rest of night is spent with you wide awake, but nothing else happens. A couple more days pass and nothing happens either (You must eat one ration though or lose 3 STAMINA points) in fact you haven't seen any undead wandering around at all and you're wondering what happened to them all. You're almost about to give up on Olanvi and head in alone, but he does show up with a small band of his fellows.

"We're here…you alright? Did you have to fight something?"
"Yeah…something, look I'm ready to go in! Let's not stand around talking!" you shout and start marching off to the ruins. Olanvi and the rest quickly follow behind

You head to the ruins fully expecting to be attacked by more undead, but nothing happens. The ruins themselves don't even contain anything. It's eerily calm, though Azoth begins to speak to you again.

"Little priest, you truly think you can stop what I have set into motion here? Then come inside with your pointy eared friends and face me!"

A trapdoor you didn't notice before suddenly opens up.

"We shall see if your faith protects you!"

You're about to descend into the darkness, when Olanvi stops you.

"I know you're really dedicated to destroying demons and all, but even you can't see in the dark, whereas the rest of us can. Let me go first."
"Very well, but I'm going to be right behind you." you respond.

You all enter the underground ruins and walk down a corridor, soon you come to a split path. All of you can sense the evil aura is strong down the left path so you head that way. You don't get far when you can hear the sounds of groaning and moaning in the distance behind you. It's more undead and it sounds like a bunch of them stumbling down the ladder.

"FOOLS! Did you really think that I couldn't get those dead meatbags leave the village area? I lured you into a trap! All of you will die here!"

Azoth has played this one well. Your only hope at this point is that by killing him, the undead will fall. You urge Olanvi to quicken the pace when something appears in front. It resembles a zombie, but it's much more gruesome looking, has wild hair and its eyes are glowing.

"The master will reward me for bringing your heads to him!" it says and attacks. Its decayed claws begin to glow an unnatural red color.

The HELL WRIGHT attacks Olanvi, meanwhile the rest of the elves behind you have to fight the rest of the undead coming. You try to help Olanvi against the Hell Wright, but he tells you go on ahead as he fights.

"GO! Kill Azoth or whatever it is you've got to do! If you don't stop him, his trap will have succeeded!

As much as you hate not aiding the elves in their battle, you dodge the Hell Wright's attack and run past it and down the corridor until you reach two door on either side of a dead end. One is open and leads to a small empty room, the other is firmly shut though, you can only assume this is the one that Azoth is hiding behind. It is currently sealed with powerful magic.

You may expend a prayer to unlock the door or try to bash it open. If you wish to bash it open you must test your LUCK. If you fail, you still get the door open, but you badly injure yourself in the process. Lose 3 STAMINA points.

Whatever the case may be you rush in to face Azoth to put an end to this once and for all.
