Final Quest
You look around the wasteland, remembering the dark nymph's words.
Behind you, Torai shifts uneasily. "We should turn back," he says. "Leave this dead place, and go back down the other path."
You hold up one hand. "Not yet," you reply, surprising yourself. But you trust the words of the nymph. You believe that she spoke truly when she said she'd offer her aid.
For a moment, nothing happens. Then, the stones begin to glow with a dark light, and then the dark nymph you saved first appears floating above them. She then lands gently on the ground and drifts over to you.
"You came," she comments in the voice that causes you to clench your teeth in your attempt to stop yourself crying out. "As promised, we will aid you as you aided us," she continues. "Here, take this." She holds out a glowing golden sword. "Tis the only weapon that will defeat death and restore these waters to their natural state."
You take the sword, bowing. "Thank you," you say. "I will use this weapon wisely."
The dark nymph nods, then vanishes.
