After a long hard fought battle you at last slay the troll and vow never to enter another swamp again!
It's not all bad however. The troll apparently had some idea of structure building. The troll's crude hut is nearby which will make a good place to spend the night. Or at least a better place than the swamp itself.
You enter the hut which looks pretty bad and smells even worse, but you can deal with it just like you've been dealing with everything since you entered the swamp. Soon you fall asleep, eager to alleviate your exhaustion.
When you wake up, you pick up your stuff and head off. Soon you're out of the gloomy, foggy swamp and make your way back on the road.
